Essential Oil Basics

Starting your essential oil journey is exciting and a little overwhelming at the same time. So much information, and so many beautiful oils! Some are rare, some have very specialised applications, everybody’s body chemistry is different, all of them smell amazing – where to start?

 

Your education will start when your oils arrive, but meanwhile, to make this easy for you, here is an introduction to the most useful essential oils and ready-made oil blends with their applications for you and your family. Start using these on a regular basis and watch how your physical and emotional health rises to unprecedented levels.

Lemon

Properties : Cleansing, Revitalising, Uplifting

  • Add to a spray bottle of water to clean tables, counter tops and other surfaces.

  • Use to remove gum, glue or any other sticky material.​

  • Add to your favorite desserts or beverages for zesty flavor

  • Take internally to support healthy digestion.

  • Diffuse to purify air and create an uplifting, refreshing aromatic experience.

Lavender

Peppermint

Properties : Cooling, Uplifting, Invigorating

  • Take internally to help alleviate occasional stomach upset.*

  • Apply a few drops to the back of your neck to cool off.

  • For a clearing, refreshing aroma, diffuse at night by your bedside.

  • Rub on head and neck for a soothing sensation when feeling tense.

  • Add to shampoo or conditioner for stimulating scalp massage.

  • Add a few drops to a table spoon of baking soda and citric acid for an effective toilet cleaner

Pain Relieving

  • Diffuse or add a few drops to your pillow or feet to prepare for a restful night’s sleep.

  • Calming on minor burns and insect bites.

  • Add a few drops to a warm bath to help soak away stress.

  • Quick application past injury on unbroken skin may reduce appearance of bruising

  • A few drops in your closet may discourage moths.

Peppermint

Cooling, Uplifting,

Invigorating

  • Take internally to help alleviate occasional stomach upset.

  • Blend with Lavender and Wild Orange for a beautiful home scent.

  • Rub on back of neck for a soothing sensation when feeling tense.

  • Take a  drop internally  in a drink to promote healthy digestion.

  • Dilute 1 drop in carrier oil and massage gently on your own or your childs stomach area when constipated.

  • Dissolve 5 drops in a cup of epsom salts for a muscle relaxing bath.

  • Diffuse or add a few drops to your pillow or feet to prepare for a restful night’s sleep.
